Buffalo Bills vs. Washington Redskins

1:00 PM ET, Sunday November 3, 2019

New Era Field, Buffalo, NY

Buffalo Bills are hosting the Washington Redskins this weekend.  The Bills have a 5-2 record and have a shot at their best 8-game run since 1993, and they are still also in the running for the AFC Wild-Card ticket.  Their loss to the Philadelphia Eagles last week (31-13) put a stop to what seemed to be a good run of impressive wins against the Tennessee Titans (14-7) and Miami Dolphins (31-21).

On their last game against the Eagles, Buffalo’s QB Josh Allen completed 16 out of 34 for 169 yards and two touchdowns.  Eagles’ defense shut down the Bills’ running game, so Allen actually led rushing, with 45 yards over 8 carries.  Buffalo’s offense never really picked up against the Eagle’s defensive line, and the Bills’ defense allowed 371 yards, 218 on the ground.

The Washington Redskins are now 1-7, winning by 1 point the Miami Dolphins (17-16), and then losing to the 49ers at home (9-0) following by an away loss to the Minnesota Vikings last week (19-9).  There’s not much to about Redskins QB Case Keenum who with 12 completions out of 16 for 130 yards and 0 touchdowns, or Dwayne Haskins who stepped in and threw an interception.  Future Hall of Famer RB Adrian Peterson, who’s also the skins’ leading rusher may be a glimmer of hope in the Redskins’ offense.  So Washington’s defense are allowing an average of 24.4 points per game, while their offense is scoring a sad average of 12.4 per game.

So what are we looking at this Sunday? The Bills are the clear favourites in this match, and couldn’t really ask for a better match up than the Redskins this weekend, with a middle-of-the-road defense that will allow Buffalo to put numbers on the board, and a struggling offensive line that Buffalo’s defense can handle.  There’s a chance needed in Washington, and it’s needed bad.  Hopefully QB Dwayne Haskins will soon get his chances soon, but we don’t see it happening as soon as this game.
