The Big Apple gave us some pretty lousy football this season, and on Sunday both parties responsible will be showing us what they’ve got on the same field, when the Jets (1-7) “host” the Giants (2-7).
This is a faceoff between two teams that are really playing bad football this season, with the Jets coming off a 3-game losing streak with the last being a 26-18 loss to the Miami Dolphins. The Giants are on a 5-loss run, last losing to the Dallas Cowboys 37-18.
After the humiliating loss at Miami, many New Yorkers want to see Jets’ Coach Adam Gase Fired. Some say/hope that a loss to the noisy neighbour from the NFC will make it happen.
The Giants’ defense is bad, even worse than the Jets’ (28.3 points allowed per game, vs. the Jets’ 26.4). So technically, the Jets can beat the Giants by pulling out Le’Veon Bell. But Bell winning without the Pittsburgh Steelers around him? Nah’, we don’t think so.
Final Score: Giants to win 21-20 and cover the spread.
Spread: Giants -3.5 (71%) / Falcons +3.5 (28%)
Line: 42.5 Over (71%) / Under (29%)
